Data Sharing Policy
Authors submitting to ECIJ are strongly encouraged to share their data and supporting materials, substantiating the findings in their publication. This can be accomplished by either co-publishing the data with the paper or archiving it in an appropriate public repository.
It is mandatory for authors to include a statement regarding data availability within the paper itself or provide relevant links to the repository where the data is stored. This declaration must be incorporated into the published paper.
For shared data, authors must explicitly confirm the data's availability and furnish details on accessibility. This includes incorporating links within the publication or providing accession numbers, NCBI registration numbers, or digital object identifiers for each repository housing the data.
If no shared data is utilized, authors must explicitly state the absence of shared data within the publication.
Authors are advised to:
- Share their research data in a suitable public data repository.
- Include a data availability statement in their publication, linking to the stored data. If data sharing is impractical, provide a statement explaining the reason.
- Properly cite the shared data in their research.
