Abstract

Education is the primary backbone of the development of any nation in the world. It is a powerful tool which is the basis of progress in every society. To provide education to all, the school and its teachers have been playing a vital role in nation building. In this context, satisfied teachers in the school can give better education to the students than dissatisfied teachers. Considering this as a research benchmark, this article focuses on the importance of teachers' job satisfaction, it is necessary to understand teachers' overall work attitudes and work behavior. The present study will contribute to improve the job satisfaction level of primary school teachers. Job satisfaction can be said that the enjoyment a person gets from the work in which he is engaged is known as his job satisfaction. The objective of the study is to uncover the job satisfaction of teachers working in primary school with respect to the variation in job nature, gender, location, management and educational qualification.
